Natalie: Coffee Beans bed linen and Coffee Beans Reeds silk cushions

I love white bed linen but it’s great to have a splash of colour and the embroidered designs in reds and turquoises do just that. It reminds me of summer holidays by the sea. I’ll add a few Coffee Bean cushions from the brights palette to complete the look – and bingo – I’ll be dreaming of the seaside!

I had a fabulous break and actually managed to tidy my house (yes that’s about as exciting as it gets for me with 2 small children) so am starting the new year with things vaguely under control… (famous last words!) Over the hols I went with a few friends to a gastro pub in Primrose Hill called the Engineer, and imagine my delight/surprise to find our Morning Glory wallpaper used on the walls of the dining room.

Thea: Notebook - There’s so much on at the moment in the studio, and it’s an essential for me to try and get as organised as much I can for the New Year, so a notebook is a must have. I shall be writing lots of lists and will keep it nearby at all times!

Patchwork throw - I love this – it’s so cosy and warm - just the thing for this time of year. The jewel-like colours are really beautiful too.

Vintage Chair in Yarrow Pebble/Black - This is just an amazing chair. The Yarrow Pebble and Black fabric is just one of my favourite ‘Clarissa Hulse’ woven fabrics and to see it on this vintage chair - it just looks fantastic!

Sue: This Christmas angel in Briar Putty is just the most gorgeous thing and it will have pride of place on top of my Christmas tree. Makes a change from the usual gold star!

My Christmas party outfit is only complete with this Tiny Vine clutch bag in Black/Pewter with neon pink inside. It’s the perfect party clutch and shall be escorting me everywhere over the next couple of weeks.

Had the usual struggle for ideas for my teenage nieces and goddaughter, but Clarissa’s come to the rescue with these brilliant iPod covers in a choice of 5 colourways.

We had our studio sale a couple of weeks ago & Leo (my 20 month old son) has a fabulous time picking cushions for everyone. I absolutely swear his first words are “that one!” which he now says pointing at everything.

I am super excited about my new bedlinen range that will be launched in February and will be packaged in a re-usable printed tote bag. We have just done the photo shoot for it and here is a sneak preview of two of the designs, “Burnet” which, is a woven jacquard in rich reds, pinks & oranges and “Cow Parsley” a slate blue ombre with a bright silver print.

Neil: Everyone in the studio is really excited about Clarissa’s new scarf range and I can’t wait to get my hands on this one in turquoise.

They feel gorgeous and are totally luxurious. Priced at £75, I reckon these would make great presents for Clarissa Hulse fans - there are 3 other colours in the range: Cream, plum and grey.

I’m a big fan of Clarissa’s Zinc colour palette, the edgy combinations of print and colour just work so well in my flat…. I’m going to hang this Reeds wallpaper in Black/Pewter in my kitchen…

And I’m going to add this Zinc Patchwork Cushion to my Christmas list – it will work brilliantly with the clean lines of my contemporary sofa.

Laura: This month I am seriously hankering after the new Blue Klimt bed linen. The colours are just gorgeous and very of the moment what with all the fuchsia autumn fashion around.

I also love this Patchwork Briar cushion, it would work so well in my sitting room which is starting to look a bit dark and gloomy now the nights are drawing in.

And while I’m thinking about sitting rooms, I must stop fantasizing about this… It’s a vintage Danish sofa, covered in Clarissa’s Burnet Ombre fabric - totally unique and super comfortable.

I am really excited about our new website, and among other things writing a blog (slightly reminiscent of being 14 and keeping a diary!)
In it I’ll be talking about what’s inspiring me at the moment and a few other things I hope you’ll find interesting. I will be attempting to steer clear of other topics such as how much sleep I have had (my main obsession due to my insomniac 19 month old son) and the roller coaster of trying to buy a new house…. But sometimes I just might not be able to help myself.

Autumn is now upon us but I have to say it’s one of my favourite seasons… I am definitely a reds and golds person so all the falling leaves in their Autumnal hues are my idea of heaven. And I just love tucking into delicious stews with roasted root vegetables…yum yum (yes food is my other obsession in life)

I have just come back from an amazing trip in Scotland; Bramaer, an hour from Inverness (just next to Balmoral don’t you know) staying with my fabulous friends the Comptons whose hospitality knows no bounds. Tania, who used to be the gardening editor of House & Garden magazine, is my main source of flora & fauna for my designs and one of the few people who really understands which plants will work. She patiently walks around with me while I squawk and exclaim about a fabulous leaf, or an intricate seed head, and holds up pieces of blank paper (that I use to isolate the plant so it has a plain background, her fingers have been photoshopped out of almost every design) for hours with her arms quaking with exertion. Thank you SO much Tania!

I was blown away by the colours in The Highlands. The pink and purple heathers were spectacular, contrasting with the chartreuse mosses and sliver lichens. I immediately want to do a Scottish inspired range. The larches particularly inspired me…see pics below.

Anyway…I shall definitely be updating this blog as regularly as possible, but from home as I can’t concentrate in the office…shush everyone! x
